Miguel Pérez Subías
Telecommunications Engineer for ETSIT at the Polytechnic University of Madrid and Master in Business Administration from the INESE. He is currently President of the Spanish Internet Users Association ( AUI.es ) position that is compatible with intense professional activity as a consultant and special advisor on Internet, Telecommunications and New Technologies.
He developed his professional activity in Paris and Madrid. A long career in which he has occupied several responsibilities as a programmer, systems engineer, consultant, director of R & D and CEO of his own company. He edited and promoted, in 1993, the first magazine published in Spain dedicated to the Internet (Click Magazine) and two years later he founded the Spanish Internet Users Association, non-profit organization, of which he is President.
Highlighted as important initiatives that he was President of the Internet World Congress (Mundo Internet Madrid 1996-2005) and ExpoInternet (Barcelona 1997-2001), the launch of World of Information Society: InternetDay (Tunisia 2005), the neutral node access point Espanix (Madrid 1997) and the creation of the Spanish Forum on Internet Governance (Madrid 2008).
