Viltė Kristina is a legal researcher at KU Leuven Centre for IT & IP Law, currently focusing on technological development and its ethical-legal implications.
Viltė holds LL.M. degree from Vilnius university, with a particular focus on international and EU law (2013), as well as advanced LL.M. degree from KU Leuven, with a particular focus on intellectual property and ICT law (2019, cum laude).

Before joining KU Leuven Viltė Kristina has been practising intellectual property and ICT law in the top tier Pan-Baltic law firms where she has been advising clients on a wide range of legal issues, with a particular focus on matters concerning intellectual property, privacy, data protection, consumer and media law (2011-2018). Besides, she has been researching international, EU law and human rights as well as teaching EU law at Vilnius university (since 2013).

Viltė Kristina is the author or co-author of a number of academic and professional publications and a regular speaker on intellectual property and ICT issues.
